Traditional Recipe: Sausage Ball

This Sausage Ball is perfect for serving at parties, picnics, snacks, or for sharing with family. The rich and authentic flavors of the sausages in our Smoked Meat Assortment combine perfectly with a soft inside and golden outside pastry.
Ingredients
For the dough:
• 500 g of wheat flour
• 1 sachet of dry baker's yeast (10 g)
• 250 ml of warm milk
• 100 ml of olive oil
• 3 eggs
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• 1 teaspoon of sugar
For the filling:
• 2 packs of Assorted Smoked Meats.
Preparation Method
1. Prepare the dough
- Mix the yeast, warm milk, and sugar in a bowl.
- Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it foams.
- Add the eggs, olive oil, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour and knead until you obtain a smooth and elastic dough.
- Cover with a cloth and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
2. Assemble the ball
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Divide the dough into two parts.
- Open one of the rectangular portions.
- Distribute half of the assorted cooked mixture over the dough.
- Cover with the second layer of dough and repeat the process with the remaining filling.
- Seal the edges tightly.
3. Bake in the oven
- Place the ball on a greased baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper.
- Let it rest for another 15 to 20 minutes.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until golden brown.
4. Serve
Let it cool slightly before slicing.
